Hala Sabry, DO MBA

Dr. Hala Sabry is a full time Emergency Medicine physician and the founder of PMG.  A native of Southern California, she studied biology at the University of California, Irvine. She moved to the east coast to attend the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where she completed a dual degree program (D.O./M.B.A.). She completed her residency training in Southern California at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and has vowed to never move to colder weather again.

Hala has a passion for advocacy particularly pertaining to women in medicine, gender equality and work-life balance.  As a mother to three young children (ages 3 and 20 month old twins), she has learned that actively pursuing the desired proportion of mother and physician roles will prevent burn out. She continues to learn from PMG members and hopes to unite women in medicine to better the careers of practicing physicians as well as future generations of female physicians.

Dina Seif, MD MBA RDMS

Dina is an Emergency Physician and mother of twin boys. She was one of the original members of PMG, joining when she had just become a new mother. She and Hala are childhood friends and - fun fact - their fathers attended medical school together in Egypt! Her mother is also physician and was Dina’s shining example of how a woman could successfully balance her career and family.

Dina attended college, medical school and business school at the University of California, Irvine. She finally left Orange County for internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York but came back to California for her dream Emergency Medicine residency at LAC+USC Medical Center. After completing a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound, Dina joined the faculty at Keck-USC School of Medicine where she taught (and commuted 45 miles each way!) until 2016. She now has a community position much closer to home at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach and is enjoying leaving a much smaller carbon footprint on the environment.

Dina believes that in addition to amazing support, PMG has the power to bring lifelong learning to our fingertips in a way no other medical society could. Her goal is to simplify and streamline the way we physician mothers continue our education.

When she isn’t shopping online, Dina is an advanced SCUBA diver, enjoys underwater photography, loves to cook (and eat) and has recently started mountain biking (hello, disability insurance). Her motto in life - “if it doesn’t accomplish two things at the same time, it isn’t worth doing” - is one she knows many of her fellow physician moms live by.
